Our Story
Founded in 2006 and Built to Last
Back then the founder, apart from being employed in the Government, used to provide construction consultancy services, project supervision & constructing building projects for private entities (Religious and missionary organizations) and Individual Clients. Thereafter the idea to establish a construction company emerged so as to efficiently execute more projects and build a Brand of its own in the construction industry of Tanzania and international levels.
Establishment
Elcon Contractors Ltd was incorporated on 19th April 2006 Under the company Act of 2002 as a limited company by Registrar of companies and business names of Tanzania. On 28th February 2007 Elcon contractors limited was Registered with Contractors Registration Board of Tanzania as a Class IV building contractors. On 24th October 2011, Elcon Contractors was promoted and Upgraded to Class II building contractors by Contractors Registration Board (CRB).

Fulfillment of our client requirements:
We make sure to capture the actual needs of the project at early stages to avoid re-work and later unnecessary project frustrations. We interact with the client and design team daily and at each stage of construction process so that works are carried out as per contract and ensure client satisfaction.
Quality assurance:
We focus on processes control rather than the end finished product. Every step is controlled, supervised and efficiently managed in a most professional manner and with competent Professionals. Materials are careful tested to specified quality and standard conformity. Production process is careful inspected and supervised at every stage to avoid errors and re- works. We aim for quality buildings from inside out.
Timely projects:
We strongly work to deliver within or before the stipulated contract period by implementing efficient and effective project planning and control mechanism. We continuously track variations, projected schedule, perform daily analysis and implement corrective actions immediately. We make sure to coordinate daily activities to meet the project deliverables in a most efficient and effective manner. Our assumption is that, what can be done today must be done today at all possible means with the fact that there shall be no tomorrow.
Healthy and safety:
Health and safety is our priority. we measure our success not only in delivering quality works, within budget and within time but also making sure that; the team involved is safe and healthy from start to the end of the project. We strive to make site environment safer for both workers and visitors, all employee are well informed and trained in Elcon’s safety policy before performing their works. It is our principal to strictly adhere to the statutory Authority and other occupational health and safety requirements.
On projects budgets:
Cost is an important parameter in any construction project, we understand how cost overran can frustrate the project and investment in general. Knowing this in mind, we implement strict rules on use and control of project funds. Throughout the execution process we study possible risk factors that may affect project budget and immediately take the required actions to avoid such alignment.
